Field trip to the @californiabotanicgarden . I love their use of mulch, leaves, and other organic matter to build the soil and create low-water landscapes. They manage over 80 acres and use fully native plants. What an inspiration!
The space on the side of this house was totally dead, underutilized, and difficult to mow. We transformed it into a garden that encompasses native plants, pollinator friendly flowers, and vegetables. Amazing to see the profound impact a small garden
